International Builders' Show 2013

The big NAHB International Builders' Show 2013 begins on January 22 and Wayne will be there sketching LIVE!  He will once again be teaming up with GAF Corporation, North America's largest manufacturer commercial and residential roofing materials, manning their booth as the national spokesperson.  If you are planning to be at the show or are in the Las Vegas area, come see Wayne in action during the following times:
Tuesday, January 22
10:00am - 12:00pm
2:00pm - 5:00pm
Wednesday, January 23
9:00am - 12:00pm
1:00pm - 3:00pm
Thursday, January 24
10:00am - 12:00pm


In addition to Wayne offering his "ask the expert" advice to members of the industry, there will be exciting things happening at GAF's booth, including a meet-and-greet with Orange County Choppers' Paul Teutul Sr. and viewing of the spectacular custom GAF bike he built in a recent episode of the show.  Here are some highlights of GAF's IBS activities:

Luxury Home Quarterly: Achieving a Signature Identity AND Versaility

The winter issue of Luxury Home Quarterly Magazine just came out and includes a lovely feature on the Carlton Shores residence and the outstanding team of Visbeen Architects + Mike Schaap Builders, Inc. that brought it to life.  Taking on Carlton Shores, a project with a more contemporary feel and aggressive timeline of less than nine months, proved to bring out the best of each team member.  The results speak for themselves.  Read more below...

Stafford's gym earns Reader's Choice on Houzz

The gymnasium in the lower level of our design, the Stafford, earned a spot in the Top 10 Reader's Choice for 2012 on Houzz.com!  Have you joined the 33% of New Years resoluters in trying to get fit for 2013?  Why not get a little inspiration from these great spots for home exercise.  These top ten are sure to knock your New-Years-resoluting gym-socks off!

Today's Grand Rapids' Business Journal featured a great article about our project with Cornerstone University on the front page.  The unique project will include a baseball stadium, atheltic center and student housing complex all in the same building.  Read on for the full article and an additional image of the beautiful facility.
