Hollywood Regency Mirrors

A while back we saw these mirrors at the Las Vegas home show and we thought they were really cool.  They are a group of individual mirrors hung together.  By themselves they are not that unique, but as a group, well, as a group they just POP!

Take this group of mirrors, for example.

It actually consists of 12 of these:

These are 12 x12 and runs about $150 each.

Here  is another one:

These are actually four of these:

These are 32 x 32 and costs about $360 each.

Our favorite is this one:

Which actually consists of this one, which costs about $280

and this one, which costs about $150 or so

As you can see, these can be made as into any size that you want. We like them big--the bigger the better.  The impact is more dramatic that way.

The mirrors are made of lacquer and take about 4-6 weeks. You can find them in our decorative mirror section.

Decorative Pillows from Caroline Cole

We just picked up this new line of decorative pillows and we're really excited about it. It's pretty, it's fresh, it's colorful, but do you know what we are excited about the most? They make the pillows here in the US and can ship in 2-3 days! That's like, really amazing...For some mysterious reasons that we never understand, many vendors take 4-8 weeks to make a pillow!  Think about it.  Dell can build a computer in 1-2 days!  Don't you think that is rather strange?

Here are some previews. We'll be posting these up in our decorative pillows section this weekend so please check back soon to see the rest.

The pillows are made with very nice designer fabrics from F Schumacher and the likes.  They are filled with down/feather.  The sizes range between 22x22 to 24x24.  Prices run between $200-300 per pillows.

Pretty Garden Accessories from Barreveld

We don't write about garden too much on this site, mainly because we're no gardeners.  But whenever we see a house with a lush garden we just get so jealous!  It really makes a huge difference.  You can take a crappy house and plant a great garden around it and it will look amazing.

So for those who are gardeners, here are some really adorable garden accessories.  They are so inexpensive too, most of them average about $50-100.

The web site for these products is Barreveld, but it is trade-protected, sorry.  You call the number on the site to be directed to a nearby dealer.

East 8th Street, Holland, MI

Visbeen Associates has redesigned 60 & 62 East 8th Street in Holland, MI to accommodate a new Kilwin's store and a new Tip Toes store. Bouwkamp Builders is reconstructing both of the spaces. Above the storefront level are two floors with two apartments each. Look for these beautiful new stores to open later this year!

Fabulous Dining Chairs

We saw these dining chairs from Jessica Charles today and we just go, whoa, these are so hot.  Maybe it's the colors, no?

We bought Jessica Charles chairs before and we just love them. Their quality is amazing.  They used to be so old-fashioned though, and we're so happy they are coming up with new, stylish things.

Here are some of our favorites:

The chairs are not cheap. They run about $600-800 each depending on fabric.  Email us if you need help with it.  You can see the rest of the line here.

Luxury Bedding for Kids

We believe there are two things worth splurging on in life.  One is shoes.  Nothing beats well-made, expensive shoes.  The other is bedding.   After all, we spend 1/3 of our life in it, don't you agree?

When it comes to kids bedding, we find that it's really hard to find nice ones though.  They are usually too cutesy or too frou-frou.

We found some that we really like at Legacy at the last High Point show.  They are washable and very comfortable.  Most importantly, Legacy Linens does fantastic bedding--they really know how to put patterns and colors together.

The bedding is sold by individual pieces--coverlet, shams, bedskirt etc.  They are a little expensive (about $400-500 for a duvet cover for example, and the total ensemble probably will run about $1500-2000).  Although this seems expensive, it's quite typical with bedding...If you are interested in getting pricing, send us an email and we'll be happy to send them to you.
